I put this swing on my childrens swingset, so I'd have a comfortable place to sit and read while still being nearby. It looks nice and is comfortable. Does absorb some water after it rains, but is never dripping wet. Birds seem attracted to the wooden bar, which causes us to have alot of bird droppings to clean off. But I have learned to flip the seat over when I'm done so the droppings and wetness are on the bottom, and I can flip it over and sit down without worry. Might have even more trouble with the birds if attaching to a tree as intructions indicate. Hardware is included.

Got this and installed in place of one of the swings - since was going in place of a swing was way easy to set up- just slip the metal ring over the swing hook. However - used less than a month and the rope on the top from metal ring began to fray and break. (only used by kids weighing 110 # or less) Replacing the rope (with chain) and should work fine ( have not had chance to test yet) all the other ropes seem in good condition - no fraying (yet)
Comfy chair and good deal if you replace/reinforce the top rope right away
